About This Release

Released through RadioSpiral, a collaborative platform for ambient and experimental music, this album was assembled over several months following the catastrophic 2019–2020 Australian bushfire season. Artists from around the world submitted original pieces composed specifically for the project, or donated existing unreleased recordings.

The music ranges from delicate acoustic environments to deep electronic soundscapes, unified by a shared emotional response to the fragility of the Australian natural world. Listening is itself an act of solidarity.
